Current research ties in Pilates’s Wisdom with Gray Cook’s teams’s research on the link between breathing patterns and kinesiology (the science behind movement) with Jon Kabat Zinn’s use of breathing techniques to train the nervous systems responses around pain and the NOI group’s ground breaking research and Alan Gordon’s work on the links between trauma, anxiety and pain as well.
